3 large Vidalia onions (sliced) 3 T butter or margarine 1 pound monterey jack and colby cheese shredded 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 tsp soy sauce 1/2 c milk 1 loaf french bread sliced 1/4 inch thick garlic salt butter or margarine for bread
Saute onions in butter until tender. Put in 9x 13 glass pan. Sprinkle with cheese. In saucepan heat soup,soy sauce, and milk until smooth. Pour over onions and cheese, stir with fork. Butter bread on both sides and sprinkle "one" side with garlic salt. Arrange on top in pan with garlic side up. Bake at 350 for 30 mins.
