What Win 7 Total Security truely is is a scam, using a plagerized name (Win 7 security is a real program on windows) that runs a fake virus scan and tells you it's found tons of viruses on your computer, and you need to 'register' to be able to move them. Mean while it is spreading viruses within your system, and even blocks Internet entrance claiming that 'Internet Explorer is a threat containing key logger.gen virus." In its simplest form, a keylogger trojan is malicious, surreptitious software that monitors your keystrokes, logging them to a file and sending them off to remote attackers. Some keyloggers are sold as commercial software - the type a parent might use to record their children's online activities or a suspicious spouse might install to keep tabs on their partner. It will attempt to scare you by its continuous alerts and scanners that all report the same thing:
Win 7 Total security 2011 Firewall Alert Win 7 Total security 2011 has blocked a program from accessing the internet Internet Explorer is infected with Trojan-BNK.Win32.Keylogger.gen Private data can be stolen by third parties, including credit card details and passwords.
System Hijack! System security threat was detected. Viruses and/or spyware may be damaging your system now. Prevent infection and data loss or stealing by running a free security scan.
Privacy threat! Spyware intrusion detected. Your system is infected. System integrity is at risk. Private data can be stolen by third parties, including credit card details and passwords. Click here to perform a security repair.
Stealth intrusion! Infection detected in the background. Your computer is now attacked by spyware and rogue software. Eliminate the infection safely, perform a security scan and deletion now.
These warning notifications that pop up at random MUST be ignored in order to save your PC from a damage. Win 7 Total Security will also be running its scanners after every startup and at certain time intervals that will also look obviously fake and fabricated. Keep in mind that this parasite will detect invented viruses and malware and sometimes it may report legitimate your system files. That’s why you should ignore alerts got from Win 7 Total Security 2011. The basic idea behind this trickery is to make you think that your computer is under the risk of malware and that only Win 7 Total Security 2011 can save it and remove ‘detections’ reported. However, you should get rid of all the offers pushing you into spending the money on buying Win 7 Total Security. IGNORE THEM AT ALL COST.
Please, get a reputable anti-spyware instead and remove Win 7 Total Security 2011. Win 7 Total Security is Extremely dangerous
Win 7 Total Security is a corrupt Anti-Spyware program Win 7 Total Security may spread via Trojans Win 7 Total Security may display fake security messages Win 7 Total Security may install additional spyware to your computer Win 7 Total Security may repair its files, spread or update by itself Win 7 Total Security violates your privacy and compromises your security
As I said, I was blocked from the Internet, and I was even 'locked out' of administator role, so I could not do a registry edit either. It had also corrupted certain files and disarmed both Norton and AVG. Important Note: Although it is possible to manually remove Win 7 Total Security , such activity can permanently damage your system if any mistakes are made in the process, as advanced spyware parasites are able to automatically repair themselves if not completely removed. Thus, manual spyware removal is recommended for experienced users only, such as IT specialists or highly qualified system administrators. If you can, I recommend Malwarebytes anti-malware. You can download it free HERE . You can run it as soon as you sense anything is wrong, and it will take care of the nasty for you.
I also want to warn you about running multiple anti-virus programs at one time. They will/can cause conflict. Choose a good anti-virus program and stick with it. I've dumped Norton and gone back to my FREE AVG anti-virus. I just happen to like AVG better. It's important to download Malwarebytes ( or something like it) before you contract Win 7 total security or something else like it. Obviously since I could not get on the Internet before getting blocked, I wouldn't have been able to do it after I had contracted it. Another good idea is to backup your anti virus program, and malwarebytes, so if need be you can access them, should they be incapacitated by the virus. Only people with Windows 7 need worry about Win7 Total security, but there are similiar threats for ALL operating systems. For warned is fore-armed, so be ready.

Good point, Wolfie. I suggest if curious about something in an email, google it. In my case, since I had no choice but to go to their site,it kept zapping me to it, I did a right click, 'properties', which gave me the real page address. Microsoft or any other true company is not going to have something like" http://fevahanybyvu.com.html" as their url.
Don't even trust email links from a 'friend'. There's rampant use of hijacked email addies to trisk you into believeing it's from someone you know. Usually this is just some trick to get you to view some site - but you never know what you might catch there. Case in point - my brother recieved an email from my sister telling him she'd bought a new car , it contained a link. Instead of clicking he called her to congradulate her. Problem? Right now she doesn't even have a computer.
no computer and she sent him a email?thats a new one..lol..i been reciveing emails from ppl thats on my contact list lately in which i havent heard from since i dont know when..but yet im reciveing emails from them saying this or that.and there will be a web link with it.and the thing of it is.where the subject goes.it'll either have subject or re: or some thing else like that.the thing to do there.is to delete that email.and then email the person(s) telling them of the email and that it might be a good idea that they change thier password to a better and stronger one..i have a strong password already.but because of the emails i been reciveing.i saved all the emails from my address book the comes with my inbox.to a cd..then i deleted them from the adresss book just to be on the safe side.and now when i want to send a email.i put the cd into the cd-rom.

Thank you for this. My new computer comes with Windows 7 so I really need to be careful. That is how my old computer got whacked. I thought I was downloading the newest version of Norton and it froze my computer so I rebooted and then could NOT get back online. Nothing on my screen...........Uggghhhhhhhhhhhh.
