Sorry Val, missed this one. Yes, the operation went well. He sent me some rather gory pics. They sliced up the right side of his head pretty good. He is going for radiation, but hasn't lost his sense of humour. A person (on the street, I think) asked him what had happened. He claimed that his wife had hit him with a baseball bat.
